The UGears Mechanical Celesta is a wooden model and a musical instrument that combines elements from the piano, a music box, and a xylophone!
Follow the illustrated instructions to complete your comprehensive model build, then choose one of two unique ways to play music with your DIY musical model!
You can use the piano-style keys to strike the special metal plates and produce musical notes over a full octave range, from C to C.
Or, you can choose to "pre-program" your Celesta by composing your chosen melody on the piano drum, then play it back by turning the crank!
Your kit contains all the laser-cut plywood parts, cotton ropes, wooden balls and metal plates required to assemble your model (no glue or special tools required).
Selected melodies also included such as "Happy Birthday", "Silent Night", and "Ode to Joy" among others.
Number of pieces: 573
Estimated time of assembly: 8 hours (difficulty level: medium)
Assembled dimensions: 28cm x 28.5cm
Recommended for ages 14 and up.

UGears Mechanical Celesta Reviews

Very cool
Love it…the G is out of key so that’s frustrating but maybe there is a fix

Very cool
This kit was great fun to build, the instructions were excellent and the quality of the parts throughout was top notch. I only used one of the spare pieces due to a slight split as it came off the sprue, and I'm clumsy, so even these more advanced kits are accessible to the less dexterous of us. Already thinking of which kit to get next!
