The Ugears Heavy Boy Truck VM-03 is the first of its kind in the heavy machinery collection, a tractor trailer.
This monumental long-hauler is driven by an R6 rubber band motor and is an exact replica of its real-life prototype.
With its realistic 3-mode transmission system, your truck can roll forwards or backwards for up to 5 metres in just one winding!
The detailed design includes all the iconic elements of a long-haul truck:
- Two side exhaust pipes and two side mirrors
- Front sprung wheels that turn to set the direction
- Fuel and air tanks, a shovel, and a realistic hook up system
- A small ladder for easy access to the cabin door
- And a cosy cabin equipped with sleeper and TV set!
Assemble the laser-cut pieces and hit the open road, there’s no glue or cutting required! If you want you can also use this as a cool wooden truck puzzle.
You will receive: 541 laser-cut colour-coded wooden pieces and easy to follow instructions in 11 different languages.

Very cool
It was a birthday present for my grandson. He absolutely loves it. We like the way they are constructed and the way they can be propelled. We have had U-gears products before and they are really good and some are very challenging.

Did the truck and trailer awhile ago but did not do any review. The truck and trailer turned out great and was very happy how they turned out. I like how the trailer floor goes in and out, very neat. No parts missing and the instructions good.

looks cool and runs well
Just finished putting together the Heavy Boy Truck VM-03 – it looks cool and runs well! I'm thinking of adding some extra thick rubber bands to the drive wheels though, because it slips a bit on smooth floors. Now, off to start on the trailer!

Hello, amazing model with many functional details. I spend lot of fun with assembling. Definetly the best wooden model I have built so far. But the rubber bands are bad. They started to crack, after half year and the moving mechanism inside model is no longer functional.

Just finished this model and its trailer. Remarkable example of creativity, engineering, manufacturing, and wonderful instructions. You have a great team. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment! Note for builders: on page 40 of heavy boy, you may find it much easier and more stable to do most of steps 4 and 5 before step 1. You may also use wax on the joints of delicate parts. Enjoy.

Dear all, this is a great model; it's the third in my collection, and I'm expecting more. However, in this case, I don't know why the motor is seizing up and preventing it from running smoothly, but oh well, there's a challenge for the next one.

Enjoyed this build. Usual good quality. This is the only model I allow my 5year old grandson to play with. I know, bad grandad. He uses lego men with the truck. The scale is really close and looks pretty cool

This is a great model to build and the 4th model I have done during lockdown, the others being, the trailer, pneumatic engine and the timer, all brilliant, don't know where to keep them all. Highly recommended

Very nice kit. Looks really cool and the functions works. One mistake in the manual where it says the panel behind the seats first and then the side panels. Other way around is working much better. But anyway, a really good thing. Thank you guys for such a great model and this great idea of those kits. It would not be my last one.

I got the Tuck for christmas. Actually four days before and started building. It took me 4 evenings to build. The truck is doubting if it wants to start rolling because I think the engine is blocking it. The engine is not spinning. Page 25 was not really clear, it was the hardest part. Page 40 contains a bug, it says you need to wax but actually you need to cut. This truck is getting the best spot in my home office because it is an eye catcher. So much detail! And it was really nice to build. A good alternative for LEGO, maybe even better! Im thinking about a next project, but not sure yet which Ugears project is next! Any suggestions?

I got the Truck and the Trailer for Christmas. I never heard of ugears before, i started building and finished both after 4 days, it made so much fun. unluckily the Truck mechanisms arent working, i did something wrong, of course, but however its looking fantastic. Its a hard model for the first time, i recommend to buy a smaller one first, you will buy more anyway... :D now i got to go, i have to look which model i will buy next!
