by Peter Harback ■ Updated: July 24, 2019
Saturday the 20th of July is when we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 Moon mission.
Why not host your very own Apollo 11 landing party and watch the original NASA EVA Mission Video which millions tuned into around the world on July 20th, 1969.
Get Your Party Started
Print out your invites
You can print out your invites on your printer, or get permission and print them out at work.
Don't have access to a printer? You can take the pdf to your local officeworks or other printing shop for printing.
Paper invites are so old school!
If printing out invites and handing them out is too old school for you then simply write the details of your party on one, take a photo and post it to your private facebook page.
On Party Day
Cast the video you can see at the top of this page to your Smart TV or access it directly on your TV's YouTube app through this link: CBS Television coverage of the July 20, 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing
Whip up some cool Astronaut themed food, I've found Pinterest a great resource for ideas.
Get some of our yummy freeze dried icecream - This yummy food is sure to be a party pleaser.
Challenge your party friends to a game of:
Utter ruthlessness and unrelenting selfish behaviour is what is needed to stay alive in this game because only one astronaut can get home on the remaining oxygen supplies.
In this unique game you must battle against wormholes, asteroid fields, laser blasts and most dangerous of all, each other, to win!
Full of clever puns and pop culture references, each game goes for around 20 minutes so the gameplay is fast, furious and hilariously fun.
Have fun with your party!
