A Roman Onager is a torsion-powered weapon similar to that of a catapult used in Ancient Rome.

This particular model uses a sling bucket to launch the included clay balls up to 4.5 metres across the room!

The original version used by the Roman Army had a strong recoil kick when fired. Now's your chance to compare the two designs!

There's no cutting required, simply use the holes and dowels provided to assemble each laser-cut wooden piece!

Your kit includes:

  • 13 Pre-cut machined wooden pieces, 5 wooden stoppers and 9 die-cut wooden pieces
  • 19 Wooden dowels, 2 screw eyes, 2 pieces of tension string and a felt pad
  • A leatherette sling, clay to make 5 clay balls, non-toxic wood glue, sandpaper and easy instructions.

Approximate assembly time: 1 hour.

Assembled dimensions: Approximately 28cm x 40cm.

Suitable for beginner model makers - recommended for ages 14 and up.
