This kit features a wind vane, an anemometer (to measure wind speed), a thermometer and a rain gauge.

You can also experiment with the greenhouse effect and create a terrarium in a bottle!

While millions of plastic bottles are thrown away each day, you'll need to recycle one to complete this project. Everything else is included!

Specially designed as an experiment for children, the Weather Station is an educational gift that is perfect for birthdays and Christmas!

Kit Includes: 

  • Thermometer and support arm
  • 2 halves of support column and rain gauge support arm
  • Funnel and plastic tube with wind vane and support arm
  • Compass, anemometer and connections
  • Step by step instructions manual

All the nuts, bolts and screws you need to complete this experiment are included in the kit.

Once assembled, the weather station will span 17cm.

Recommended for ages 5 and over.

Bottle not included. Adult guidance recommended.

Bought this for my grandson's 8th birthday. After reading the reviews I wasn't expecting a lot, but as he's really into science I thought for the price it was worth buying for a stocking filler. He enjoyed putting it all together and I had to find him a bottle, some compost and seeds to take home with him make the garden bit. We decided that his mum would help him make a spreadsheet on his laptop to record his readings, so I think it will turn out to be a good buy!
