Learn all about Bernoulli's airflow principle as you conduct interesting experiments with this gravity-defying KidzLabs Space Air Engine!

Use the included parts to assemble your very own air engine, decorate it with the included space/volcanic graphics, and then you're ready to rumble!

Your blower machine will produce a steady flow of air through the nozzle, allowing you to conduct 6 cool floating activities with your diorama!

Here are some activities you might like to try:

  • Place the poly foam ball (or the ball and saucer) on the nozzle and switch on the fan. Watch how the ball is suspended by the flow of air. Try rotating the vent cover to change the volume of air and see how it affects the height of the ball!
  • Place your hand over the floating ball and move it up and down like magic! When you reduce the flow of air above the ball, it will cause the ball to drop. You can also experiment with tipping your blower sideways. How far can you tilt it before the ball falls to the floor?
  • Create a bubble wand out of the included pipe cleaner, dip in bubble liquid, then hold it over the blower nozzle! What's the biggest bubble you can make as the air creates a steady stream of bubbles?
  • Apply some glow-in-the-dark paint to your poly foam ball. It will looks like a glowing moon, floating in outer space over your blower! Perhaps you could create your own graphics too and change the look of your blower! Why not make it look like a seal, balancing a ball on it's nose?

You will receive: All the parts required to build your air engine including fan blade, nozzle, motor, hub and detailed assembly instructions.

Also required but not included in this kit: A small Phillips head screwdriver, 2 x AAA batteries, paper and some bubble solution.

Recommended for ages 8 and up (adult guidance recommended).
