Very cool

I've done about 45 book nooks and this one is a winner! Well made, colorful, captivating, detailed, nicely lit, clear instructions. If I were to suggest an improvement, have the gears (which turn) actually do something, like move the clock hands. If I were to do this again, I'd take the time to color the edges with acrylic pens for an eye-popping result.

Not too difficult. Make sure the gears are waxed and keep checking for smooth operation (it's a looong gear train). An interesting addition.

Very cool

Just about everyone who visits Prague sees the clock tower. This kit is not an exact duplicate but is as close as the kit designers could get and still make it a fantastic kit. It is printed on plywood for the most part (often on both sides) with beautiful graphics that reek of quality. There are electronic parts to use (lights and a sensing device). There are many gears that make two action areas - the clock itself and a raisable platform so the (theoretical) workers can fix whatever breaks. The kit provides wax to make the parts move smoothly - use it!! This puzzle is outstanding - it was fun and took me about 12 -14 hours to do it. I work slowly to try to make the project as perfect as I can. One of the things I always do is to get rid of the little white connectors and use a colored pen to match the color of the part edge. It makes for a nice edge and doesn't leave little white dots to distract the viewer. Anyway, a great project (especially if you've been to Prague)!
