Here's what you do:

1. Wait until everyone is totally engrossed in a program, maybe even something that they've really been looking forward to.

2. Stand up dramatically, pull out your gun, and aim it at the TV.

3. Say 'There's only one sheriff in town, and I'm not watching this' and blast the TV!

But be warned, these actions can cause agitation in some people so be prepared to run for it.
