The Leo the Lionheart project has been set up to support a local family that have been hit with a battle that all of their friends wish could be taken away.
Bec and Kyron Fogarty's gorgeous little guy Leo is now in the Royal Children's Hospital undergoing treatment as part of a 48-week course of chemotherapy to shrink a tennis ball-sized inoperable cancer mass on his bladder and the Tasmanian family is going to be based in Melbourne for the rest of the year.
Along with the dilemmas of dealing with a diagnosis and the treatments are the costs and pressures involved in being away from home.
Leo the Lionheart toys have been handmade by friends and people all over Australia to help support this family in a practical way. All materials used to make each Leo the Lionheart toy have been donated by the maker and each come with an authentication label letting you know who the maker was.
You can choose between a design suited towards a boy or suitable for a girl using the selector over to the right of this page (near the add to cart button).
The photo over to the right shows a sample of the different designs. However, as they have each been made and added to individually by each of the creators, you could get something that is altogether a different colour .
For $20 you get one Leo the Lionheart toy, randomly picked suited to your selection (suit Boy or Girl) and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this toy will go to the Fogarty family to support them through this tough time.
