Your Kidz Labs Crystal Science kit is a fantastic science kit that your children will love to experiment with! It gives them the opportunity to conduct basic chemical experiments such as growing their own Aquamarine Crystal, Glow in the Dark Quartz Cluster and a Crystal Snow Tree!

In doing so, your children can learn how crystals are formed from solutions, and display them in a collection to show and explain to their friends! A great kit for any child who loves science, crystals or simply creating something a little bit special!

Your Kit Contains:
- A large bag of white crystal compound and a small bag of blue seedling mixture
- A square transparent base with cover and a hexagonal transparent base with cover
- A shallow hexagonal container and glow in the dark moon crystal base
- A stirring bowl, spoon, set of crystal snow tree paper and detailed instructions.

Also required but not included to conduct your experiments are a jar of hot steaming water, an apron, protective goggles and rubber gloves.

Approximate Crystal dimensions:
- Moon Crystal Cluster will grow to about 4.5cm in diameter and 3.5cm in height
- Crystal Snow Tree will grow to about 7cm in diameter and 8cm in height
- Aquamarine Crystal will grow to about 3cm in diameter and 2.5cm in height

Recommended for ages 10 and up.
Boxed dimensions: 21cm (l) X 16.5cm (w) X 6cm (d).

The hardest part of growing these crystals was to keep the temperature up in our room for a couple of days. I had no idea that was part of the process, but it makes total sense. The end results are not as spectacular as the photo on the box, but that's OK as maybe the room needed to be even warmer than we set our thermostat to. Since the chemicals need to stay off one's skin, my students got to feel like scientists, wearing lab coats and goggles, LOL! I will buy this kit again next year, assuming I'm teaching science then!

My 7 year old was really excited to make these crystals, the process is a bit of a faff but nothing too complex. He had fun with it but the results aren’t like the box. The tree crystal was a bit of a flop- definitely not as full looking as the box shows, the blue crystal was great but as you can see, it grew sideways rather than upright so it doesn’t actually stand up. Still, a fun piece nonetheless

I brought this for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas and we really enjoyed making the crystals a lovely chemistry experiment that actually does what it says on the instructions and the crystals grew great and my daughter found it very interesting

My daughter really liked this science set. The blue and green crystal came out quite well as shown on the box. Unfortunately the tree crystal/white bush didn't grow as much as the box showed. They were only a few crystals at the tip but it didn't actually form into a bush/tree. Overall fun science experiment
