What does it taste like?
Because it's been freeze-dried (all the moisture has been removed from it), it is dry and crunchy with a similar texture to that of the inside of a Malteser. Once you place it in your mouth it will start to dissolve and become creamy.
Is it real ice cream?
Yes, each official Astronaut Chocolate Chip Ice Cream pack contains a slice of freeze-dried edible chocolate ice cream with choc chips.
List of ingredients: Milk cream, semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, milkfat, cocoa butter, soy lecithin [emulsifier], vanilla extract), sugar, buttermilk, corn syrup, dairy whey (contains less than 2% of stabiliser to maintain smoothness), mono and diglycerides, guar gum, carrageenan, calcium sulphites, peppermint extract, vanilla extract, vanillin (artificial flavour), artificial colour (yellow 6, blue1), annatto (colour).
Please note: Contains milk, may contain traces of peanuts, soy, gluten and tree nuts.
Three year expiration date.
