Unbelievable detail in design. Make extra sure you pay close attention to the detailed instructions. When putting together you wonder how and why some of the pieces fit together. In the end it all works perfect!

Was sent as a gift to another state so I never saw, in person, the process or final product. However, recipients never got it to final working. Giving four stars because I can't verify their assembly accuracy (lol), and the photo they sent looked very cute. It served its purpose and was well received, so no complaint from me.

Amazingly precise engineering. It is a challenge to interlock all the pieces, needle nose pliers help, but when done, everything was tight,secure, and worked perfectly. The directions were accurate although the pictures sometimes lacked some definition and reading glasses recommended. It's important to determine where a part rubs on another and wax it, then to rotate/move it several times to loosen it up. Many extra parts are included but I did not need any of them as not one piece broke... Very satisfying project

My favorite Ugears model so far! Hope we get some more models in the future with the multiple shades of wood, it's gorgeous. Builders, be super liberal with the wax on this one. I underestimated the complexity on the dials, so the combination change mechanism on mine needs some prodding to work, but the locking and opening mechanisms are super smooth and satisfying!

A wonderful lockbox that is both pretty and practical! Putting it together was quite challenging but satisfying nonetheless. Do pay extra attention to the combination mechanism! If this is not your first model, I would definitely recommend getting it :) The size is perfect as well - big enough to be useful for storage, small enough to fit on your desk or shelf and decorate the room.

A wonderful puzzle! And it works as promised! It's a useful lockbox I suppose, but the fun is putting it together and seeing it all work. A good challenge (but no toothpicks!) and as promised, no glue is needed. Beautiful display, and fun to show. I'm very pleased with this one!

Fantastic kit, looks beautiful and has a satisfying locking action. I like how you can see part of the locking mechanism from inside the opened book. Combination mechanism was a little sticky, but works fine after a few cycles of use. Highly recommended.
