Under Lockdown (can't remember what # we are up to, but it's over 260 days!) I was creating challenges for my kids every day, over the recent 3 weeks of school holidays. Placed some coins in the cryptex and locked it up. Put clues around the house for a treasure hunt. At the end, the kids had to turn all the clues over and put them together, jigsaw puzzle style to get the code to open the cryptex. The device itself is probably not something you would use time after time, as the paper numbers are a bit flimsy, but hey, it gave my kids 2 hours of entertainment. Winning!!
