Turn up the retro vibes without making a sound with the Retro Boombox Construction Set 993pcs!

This detailed build recreates a classic portable cassette stereo, complete with twin speakers, a radio scale, controls, aerial and that unmistakable old-school look.

It makes a fun gift for music fans, keen builders and anyone who remembers when cassette tapes ruled the playlist!

There is plenty to discover as the model comes together.

Open the cassette deck, add the brick-built tape, turn the tuning control, fold the handle and discover two removable brick-built batteries.

The finished model is made for display and does not play music, but its moving features add plenty of hands-on fun!

The bricks are pad printed too, meaning the designs are printed directly onto the pieces, so there are no fiddly stickers to apply or worry about peeling off!

  • Includes 993 pieces with an estimated build time of 5-7 hours
  • Features an opening cassette deck, removable tape, tuning control, folding handle and removable brick-built batteries
  • Measures 30.2cm wide, 29cm high and 8.2cm deep when assembled and is suitable for ages 8+

Note: The Boombox is made for building and display, so it does not include working audio, Bluetooth or radio functions.

Once built, this big retro stereo makes an eye-catching display piece for a desk, shelf, games room or music space.

Give it to a retro music fan, an experienced young builder or an adult who loves a hit of 80s nostalgia.

Grab the Retro Boombox Construction Set and build a blast from the past!
