Aero Rocket Launcher

The rocket launcher was easy enough to assemble however the tube was bent from being in the box and we can't get it to straighten out. This means it's hard to actually launch the rocket as less air gets to the launch pad

After buying this for my 12 year old daughter, product looked really good quality and fun thing to make. However the instructions were horribly hard to follow and she had no clue what to do, as well as very very s**y pictures on following how to put the led in. In the end the wires didn’t connect the led broke, very disappointed. Very bad product that isn’t clear what to do and has no where to actually see what to do, Would not recommended.

Ant Farm Pocket Colony

Unfortunately the two Ant Farm Pocket Colonies we purchased didn't work for us at all. The first day we collected 8 ants per ant farm. We waited and waited but all the ants kept getting stuck down the sides of the gel and dying (despite poking the recommended holes!) After 4 days we released the ants that were still alive as nothing was happening (apart from them looking very unhappy!) We had followed the instructions but zero result. It was more traumatic than anything as my kids were getting upset with the ants getting stuck and dying. We waited a few days and then went outside and collected more ants for each colony. These ants were smart. They all found a way to escape, despite the lids being on properly. We ended up with a bunch of ants crawling through the kitchen. Complete failure for us. This happened with both of them! I guess I could have taped around the sides and air hole but this would have killed them anyway. So disappointing and a complete waste of money.

Flying Wing Prop Top 10 Pack

We've just bought several items from Cool Things. The "Flying Wings" were a real hit at a recent family function. There were two different family groups so about half the people there didn't know the other half. We gave all the kids a Flying wing each (used up 2 packets), straight away they were all playing together - this got the adults going and before long we were all interacting and ended up having a great time.

We recently purchased the Generator Creator, the KidsRobotix Drummer Robot and the KidsLabs Giant Magnetic Compass. The idea was to keep two of our grandsons (aged 10 & 12) entertained during the school holidays. Did it what; constructing and playing with the kits kept them interested and engaged for most of the fortnight - apart from the odd minor squabble they were interacting with each other on a level we hadn't seen before. Even better - their time spent on Ipads and Switch was only about 20% of what we were used to.

I have 3 infant and primary school grandsons. I was looking for a small stocking filler for them. The boys haven't received them yet-- but I've had a look of course. They look wonderful and should be lots of fun. I will need to buy them a ream of paper now as I know they will all be creating artistic drawings.
