Remember those extraordinary books where you had to cross your eyes to find the hidden 3D image? Well now you can create your own of sorts with a bit of imagination and some 3D glasses!

What you get is a notepad containing a red and blue drawing graph and some 3D cardboard specs. Simply grab a black pen and start to draw. Begin with something simple and progress to something a little more complex!

All it takes is a little bit of trial and error to see what works best for you.

So how does it work? The coloured filters in the 3D glasses allow each eye to see the opposite colour on the stereoscopic drawing graph (i.e. the blue lens shows red and the red lens shows blue). As your brain attempts to fuse the two graphs together, your focal point is pushed backwards creating an illusion of depth that isn't really there!

By using black ink to write or draw, your sketch can be seen by both eyes and remain its normal focal distance. This allows it to look as though it's floating above the page!

So enhance your drawings today by adding a cool 3D dimension. There are 50 sheets to practice on so you can perfect the technique!

Do not draw in blue or red pen, black works best!
Vary your viewing distance until the image is clear; make sure the room's well lit!
