Simply tap the lid and the butterfly flutters and flies randomly around the inside of the jar, giving the impression that it’s a real butterfly – even up close! Tap it once to wake your butterfly up, twice to make it flutter, and 3 times to make it flap!
Your butterfly comes in a 17cm high, old-fashioned glass jar with gold coloured lid, and you can choose between the Monarch, Yellow Swallow-Tail, Blue Morpho, or the fantasy inspired Pink Morpho.
So convincing you’ll have to look twice, the Butterfly Collection requires no batteries, so why not collect all four of these illusive creatures?!

I am highly appreciative of the Cool Things staff and the way they have handled my difficulties with the butterfly collection item. My first butterfly lasted only 3 days before dying tangled up in its wire! I purchased a second butterfly, and advised staff of my previous problem with this item, and they generously sent me a gift as way of apology. Outstanding....My second butterfly arrived damaged in spite of Cool Things thorough packaging in bubble wrap - the jar was cracked! I felt awful, but once again the staff were lovely and easy to deal with, and I have a replacement coming in the mail. I totally recommend buying with this store - I don't believe I could have been treated more respectfully or more fairly anywhere. Their way of doing business is the old fashioned way of doing everything possible to make things right for the customer - and I have found that a rarity these days.

This was a fantastic gift that my kids wanted to play with. Not only was the gift recipient (6 yr old that loves butterflies) so happy and intrigued with the gift, but her mother loved it too and wanted to know where to purchase the whole series for her daughter and also an that it was a great idea for friends kids that love butterflies.
