Mood Light Cube

Mood cubes are coloured morphing accent lights. They glow and change colours. They create a fascinating but subtle draw of attention that accents a room.

Some comparisons can be made to lava lamps, electronic candles and disposable glow sticks. Mood cubes are portable and are a lot more fun.

The cubes morph over five colours. You really have to see and hold one to understand why every adult, teen or child we've showed them to wants a mood cube. Our web site can't really convey what it's like to see and hold them.

Mood cubes are especially attractive in low light but work under any lighting conditions. Children find them magical and transfixing. Adults find them relaxing, cool and unique and our cat even finds them mesmerizing. It's easy to stare at them for long periods of time or to glance away and look back to notice the different colours as they slowly morph.

Use a mood cube as a cool nightlight, use them to entertain children in the car or as they drift off to sleep or during early infant feeding. We've used them to light a bathroom at night and to walk though a dark lawn - they give off a large aura of light in a dark environment that's light enough to walk down a dark hallway with.

If you're creatively inclined you can build around the basic assembly to make personalized lamps using rice paper for unique shapes such as cones, pyramids and cylinders of light, or to use them in frosted globes, bowls and vases to make very interesting custom decorative displays of shifting colours.

How they work
Mood cubes are portable morphing lights made of frosted PVC that glows from LEDs inside as they shift through a cycle of colours. The cubes use colour morphing technology to cycle through a spectrum of many colours as they change between red, green and blue primary colours. Cubes cycle at slightly different speeds and this creates a constantly changing juxtaposition of colours when you have two or more near each other. They are an ambient source of light that is subtle but draws in attention as you gaze at the shifting colours. They look best under low lighting and are absolutely hypnotic in a dark room, but do work under normal lighting conditions.

Mood cubes run off three LR44 or AG13 batteries (which are included) and have an average runtime of over 48 Hours. They are also portable and can be used indoors and outdoors.
